T-Max rapper and Boys Before Flowers actor Kim Joon is making his theater debut: He’s taking on a role in the musical Youthful March [젊음의 행진]

He doesn’t have the lead role, but I’m curious about this nonetheless. Kim Joon’s got experience in the pop-music world but he’s a rapper, not a singer, so perhaps the transition is more of a leap than when other pop vocalists make the jump to musical theater. (Such as: Ok Joo-hyun, Lee Ji-hoon.)

The lead role will alternate between actor-singers Lee Ji-hoon (You’re My Destiny) and Lee Sung-jin(from the musical version of Singles), while the female lead role is double-cast between musical actressesKim Ji-woo and Lee Jung-mi. Kim Joon plays a student teacher.

The musical Youthful March debuted in 2007 and is described as a “jukebox musical” that mixes the popular 1990s manhwa “Yongshimi” with the ’80s music variety program “Youthful March.” (I’m not familiar with either program so I can only speculate, but it seems like the musical is meant to evoke a pleasant sense of nostalgia while updating itself for the modern watcher.)

The plot features the now-33-year-old Yongshimi preparing for a concert, when she runs into her old schoolmate and flashes back to 1991 — and the musical therefore features such old pop hits as Lee Seung-chul’s “Last Concert” (Love this song! Listen below), Kim Gun-mo’s “Excuse” (핑계) , and others.

The musical runs from July 18 through October 25 at Seoul’s Coex Artium.

• telling the truth, good or not-so, may have different outcomes. but you should not hesitate in doing so. there is nothing wrong with being honest or outspoken.
• better to keep silent. whatever you say or do may have a dagger-like effect to others
• there is absolutely nothing wrong with minding your own business.
• watch how, when, and what you speak or do before judging them. you may not like what they do coz you’re seeing yourself in them
• think ahead but never forget to always look back

• Not because you get to be with me more than my long time friends, you have the right to tell me my 1H 5Ws (how, what, when, where, who and what). YOU ARE SO WRONG.
• For so long as I don’t ask for help…DON’T tell me the 1H 5Ws. (refer to 2^nd bullet). I appreciate the initiative if you will, though. But if I’m not asking for help or opinion (yet), it means that I still have other options that might work. If it doesn’t, I’ll look for another. I will not blame anyone and take full responsibility for my actions.
• I don’t like hate being manipulated (related to the 1^st bullet). I am human. I am not battery or mechanically operated. Even Robin Williams in Bicentennial Man got what he wanted/desired.
• Time is precious, but it doesn’t mean that you have to hurry just because. You might trip and fall hard along the way. That is why I’m carefully biding mine so don’t or never rush me (refer to bullet 9). Also, since I am taking my time, I know that the best ones will be left for me. That will be based on God’s timetable as He knows best each and everyone’s 1H 5Ws.

i know i know..i post rarely and my beloved hostess is already counting the days til my eviction notice! darn it.

well i cant update coz there’s nothing worth to blog about yet. but im mostly on my twitter, you can follow me there. usually i just reply to those who I follow and vice versa.

at work, hmm.. no comment! i dunno but in my point of view its not that well. economy wise? they’re aloof. chances are they focus more on the income they need to generate, and somehow forget about those who help them earn. got me?

as for me at work? i dunno. maybe im getting bored everyday. Im always looking forward for Wednesdays (Rest Day #1)! and when I wake up every Thursdays (Rest Day #2), its like “demmit! work week again tomorrow!” Yes! Friday is our first day of work when people are going home or having gimmicks!

But no matter how I rant and curse, I honestly (believe me or not) i love like going to work. why?  im not really sure. but..

1. i think maybe its coz of the people i work with. if i calculate the hours im with them it would be more than the time i have with my mom and sis.

*Note: due to Cyber ramp up in June, the members of the Teams are gonna get shuffled with the new bloods. so reason #1 is still pending.

2. i think im still hoping to get better (?). i dont really feel that i am that is why i said “hoping”. i dunno why but i used to be able to do it.

*Note: work-related stat. even if i mention it here you wont get it lol

3. still yearning to learn something new. though this one also comes rarely. so when now is “rare” time, you’ll get information overload.

anyways, i wish i can still keep up with the goal — personal or otherwise. i easily get intimidated and i dont really like it. when i know someone or somebody is better than I, i tend to be mediocre. Or I try to compete with myself.

Not yet winning though. coz sometimes when im already getting there, change occurs so new adjustments have to be done. Immediately. usually without prior notice (preparation).

cant blame anyone. Change is the only constant thing in the world.

Anyway, i have 2 facebook accounts so i posted the same shoutouts to have my contacts follow him lol. i guess it helped a bit.

FYI, its for a good cause. its not a popularity contest. He pledged 1ok mosquito nets to Malaria Foundation. Also, though CNN kind of didn’t win the “race”, they will stillprovide the same number nets. So is Ryan Seacrest (yes, the handsome AI host) and Oprah will give out 20k.

Moving forward..well.. just got home from work around 3.30am. I dont think ill be able to sleep. Me and my sis will watch 17 Again later. if i snooze i wont be able to wake up early. and i also have to have my mini woofer checked. it;s not charging and i cant live without music. as in!

some people kind-of dont like it. i used to be one of those because there is nothing much to watch on TV, limited DJs on FMs and neighbors are out to their respective provinces or gigs.

i can say i used to be bored during Holy Week, which is I believe waaaaayyy back then when i still cant understand why does it have to be celebrated. well, i know you know what Holy Week is for or what IT means. glad i have realized that early.

Heniwey, in our line of work we dont have a vacation. our team’s just lucky to have weekdays off but nonetheless, its just the same.  i actually prefer to work than just bum around at home. lol.

Oh and just last week, i bought Globe Tattoo. It’s ok. If you’re interested in buying one, be my guest. Just a tip, it is specially made for people with laptops and on-the-go. Like students, coffee house tambays and business peeps.  Its kinda difficult to make a connection when you’re at home. Unless your location has WiFi or supports 3G. though its not recommended for desktop PCs (you cant bring it at the top of a tree. duh), you may try it but dont blame it on Globe peeps if you cant make a connection because you will be given a heads up when you subscribe to it.

I use it at home on my lappy so that’s why im kind of having problems with the connection. i have yet to try it outside. ill post an update if i can.

its cool. you can actually use your existing SIM card on the Tattoo USB. Otherwise, you will be given a new one.

as usual. another non-esense post. no extraoridinary happenings yet or im not in the mood to blog about it if there are any. im not used to using themes i didnt make on my own. i mean, no offense. the free themes online are awesome but its cooler to make your own.

i forgot how to do it and im starting from scratch. and with my schedule now at work, i doubt if i will still be able to make my own.
